Dental Implants

Technique

Dental implants are innovative medical devices designed to replace the roots of missing teeth. They provide a solid foundation for prosthetic restorations such as crowns, bridges or dentures. The implant itself is a small titanium screw, inserted into the jawbone, which naturally bonds to the bone during the healing process, offering stability comparable to a natural tooth.

Definition :

The dental implant procedure involves several steps. First, the dentist assesses the patient’s oral health and plans the location and quantity of implants required.

The titanium implant is then surgically inserted into the jawbone. After this phase, a period of healing is required for the implant to fuse firmly to the bone.

Finally, a dental prosthesis such as a crown is attached to the implant, recreating the natural appearance and chewing function of the lost tooth.

Duration

The duration of implant placement depends on the number of implants and the complexity of the case.

Placement of a single implant often takes around 45 minutes. A healing period of several months may then be needed for the implant to integrate with the bone.

Once healing is complete, the final dental restoration is attached to the implant. The precise schedule is confirmed after the clinical and radiographic assessment.

Price

Between €1,000 and €2,500 per implant
