Information published by Dr Julia Musiol, dental surgeon in Antibes.

Technique
A dental bridge, a high-quality prosthetic solution, is used to replace one or more missing teeth.
By restoring the natural beauty of your smile, it also improves chewing function. Composed of connected crowns, abutment teeth and intermediate elements in the middle, this device creates an effective “bridge” to fill empty spaces.
Definition :
Placing a dental bridge involves several steps. First, adjacent abutment teeth are prepared to create the shape and space for the bridge. Then, a precise impression is taken to fabricate the custom-made bridge in the laboratory. A temporary bridge can be placed on the prepared teeth until the permanent bridge is ready. When the permanent bridge is ready, it is attached to the prepared teeth using adhesive dental cements.
Duration
The installation of a dental bridge generally requires two appointments. At the first visit, the adjacent abutment teeth are prepared, impressions are taken and a temporary bridge is installed. At the second visit, a week later, the ceramic bridge, fabricated in the laboratory, is attached to the abutment teeth.
On average, each appointment lasts about an hour.
